Service Times

Our Values

What is a service?

At Bethesda, we define a service when we as a church community gather, mostly on the weekends. We want these times together to be inspiring and God-honoring, and to be a springboard to encourage you in your daily walk with Christ.  These services remind us that Jesus Christ breaks into our world and sets us free.  We get to live for Him, not out of guilt or something we "have to do."

What music style is each service?

Sunday 9 am - Traditional

Hymns have been around for centuries, and these timeless treasures are featured in our traditional service in our sanctuary.  The organ is the primary instrument, leads the music, and is supported by a pianist and a song leader. Our Adult Choir is featured regularly during the year, and there is usually a dramatic scripture reading.

Sunday 10:30 am - Sanctuary

10:30 am is a modern service in our sanctuary with keyboard-led music, mostly with music from the last five years, including Passion, Paul Baloche, Jared Anderson, David Crowder Band, and Chris Tomlin. We are blessed monthly to have music led by a team that includes favorites from Michael W. Smith, Don Moen, Lenny LeBlanc, and Twila Paris.

Sunday 10:30 am - Eleeo

Eleeo is our modern worship service that gathers in our gymnasium, Walker Hall. This is a generally guitar-driven, multimedia service that is geared for young adults in our community. This features the latest music from Hillsong United, Elevation Worship, Matt Redman, and many others.

What is worship?

There are two ways to describe worship.  Many times, a person's first thought describes worship as a weekend service or music style.

However, the Apostle Paul describes worship as a personal, daily event:

"...I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you.
Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable.
This is truly the way to worship him." -Romans 12:1
