Living Beyond Myself
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave.” ~ Jesus

Have you considered how God might use you to impact someone for eternity?
First Serve.
It’s a no obligation opportunity to explore and experiment with one (or a variety) of roles, a chance to find your niche or to discover a God-given passion. You might discover gifts and abilities you never knew you had. First Serve is the beginning of the journey to find that place where you can be energized by serving, overflowing with joy, and have the privilege of being used by God to touch another human being.
Imagine the possibilities…
One Wednesday night at our midweek service I highlighted the Christian Auto Repairmen Serving ministry during my message. After the service, a guy about six-foot-three, 240 pounds approached me.
“I’m a brand new Christian or whatever you call it,” he said. “I haven’t been around here for long, but I’ve already caught on that I’m never going to speak or sing on the stage. And I probably wouldn’t be good at visiting people in the hospital or teaching Sunday School. But can you give me the name of that guy who fixes cars? I’d be glad to show up every Monday night. I never knew I could help somebody by cranking wrenches.”
