Classes meet through April 22, 2009
Bethesda is a busy and exciting place on Wednesday evenings! Several programs are offered from October to April. They all meet from 6:45 to 8:00 PM with the exception of the Children’s Choir which meets from 5:45 to 6:40 PM. We encourage kids to invite their friends to these lively evenings where relationships are built and God’s Word is presented. With the exception of the Children's Choir, a registration card needs to be filled out prior to attending these programs.
Children’s Choir – October - May
Wednesdays from 5:45 - 6:45 PM in the Choir Room. This is available for children in 1
st – 5
th grades and utilizes children’s interest in music to learn more about the Lord, to praise Him and to witness to others through song. Each year we are blessed as the children periodically sing during the worship services and also present their annual musical in the spring. Noah’s Ark –
Children 4 years old through Kindergarten can enter “the ark” each week to learn about many different Bible characters through stories, games, crafts and other activities. It’s a fun and loving place to be!
Kids of the Kingdom –
1st – 3rd graders make up this group who sing, play, learn and apply each week. During the course of three years the children study the characteristics of a true winner, the fruit of the Spirit, and the 10 commandments. A large part of the evening is reciting Bible verses. We believe in the importance of having God’s Word hidden in our hearts and as an added incentive, the children in 2nd and 3rd grades have the opportunity to earn Bible Camp credit through the memorizing of verses.
Bible Explorers –
4th and 5th graders spend the year gaining a firm foundation in God’s truths as the kids are challenged to examine their faith. The curriculum (Domain .456) provides a strong biblical base to explore topics and issues that are of a high interest to this age group. This group also has Bible verse memorization and the opportunity to earn Bible Camp credit through the memorizing of these verses.
