The mission of Bethesda’s Children’s Ministries is to glorify God as we support the family in the teaching of His Word to all children who come to Bethesda; that they may know Jesus as their Savior and follow Him as devoted disciples.
We affirm that parents are ultimately responsible for the spiritual formation of their children’s lives. We want to help support them in this responsibility by providing an excellent and dynamic children’s program for birth through 5th grade. We want children to be able to learn the life-guiding principles of the Bible in a fun, caring and safe environment.
We gladly welcome your children to our ministry and we are always available to address any questions or concerns you may have.
Safety/Security
In an effort to be more proactive with the safety of the children here at Bethesda we are implementing a new check in/check out system.
On the first day of class your child will receive a nametag which will also have a family number. You will receive a matching number tag. We encourage you, when dropping off your child, to put the child's tag on them and take yours in order to help out the teacher/helper during the busy drop-off time. When you pick up your child your tag will need to be presented to the teacher or helper before your child can be released. The nametag and matching tag will be kept in the classroom. If you prefer an older sibling, grandparent, family friend, etc. pick up your child then they would need to have the tag to present to the teacher/helper. This system will be in place for all our classrooms from the 3 year olds through 5th grade and includes all of the Children's Ministry programs that take place on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday. A tag system is already in place in our nurseries.
On the back of the child's tag can be pertinent information such as medical conditions, allergies, and parents' location during that particular hour.
We, in Children's Ministries, are responsible for the well-being of your children when they are in our care and take seriously our role of providing a safe and secure environment for them to learn about their Savior, as well as provide peace of mind to those newer (and not so new) Bethesda families.
We feel an added benefit to this new system will be the increase in parent/teacher contact resulting in better communication on a regular basis.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we begin this new security measure in Children's Ministries.
